Elizabeth was introduced to landscape architecture when required to write a report for school about different professions and interview someone working in an occupation she found interesting.  After this exercise, she decided to attend Purdue University and earned a degree in Landscape Architecture.

After graduating, she moved to Chicago, Illinois.  She worked with various firms and gained experience working on streetscape designs, school yard gardens, outdoor learning environments and play spaces, rooftop gardens, mixed use developments, multifamily housing projects, and single family residences.  She was also exposed to the design build side of the industry and elected to attend Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering to earn a Master in Project Management degree.

Since moving to California, Elizabeth has continued her education by attending lectures, seminars and workshops.  Topics encompass sustainable design, edible landscapes, river friendly landscaping, sketching techniques and paddle boarding.  She also enjoyed presenting her knowledge at her Empire Toastmasters club where she practiced her public speaking skills.

Elizabeth joined GSM in February 2015.  She brings innovative and sustainable design solutions that meet client’s needs and enhance the site’s abundant opportunities.  She has provided valuable design work for many projects including a streetscape renovation, high school campus, outdoor learning environment, event center, and various residential estates.
